I did a big ol’ question round up on IG this past weekend — y’all wanted to know about nursing tips especially, so here’s what I’d say to do if you have a clogged duct!
(These are my tips as a mom of 3, I’m not a licensed professional, confirm with your doctor, yada yada yada)
First, don’t stop nursing or pumping. Take a hot shower or use a warm wash cloth and then massage the clogged area. Work your way from the inside out (kind of like unclogging a traffic jam) then pump or feed after while everything is all warm.
Do a cold pack after to reduce inflammation.
